Just because we’re in the throes of winter doesn’t mean it’s too early to start planning spring and summer activities. I can’t wait to get out to the lake for weekends full of family, fishing, and fun. My son recently got into racing radio-controlled cars and seems to really enjoy it. I’ve started researching rc vehicles we can take to the lake and race together.

From what I’ve researched online, the Megatech Nirvana II, an rc sailboat, seems to be something we can both enjoy. The Nirvana II is designed from keel to handle like a full-scale racing yacht. It even has a drag composite hull design over its 32-inch length, complete with removable racing keel with ballast-bulb. It’s perfect for my aims because it has a deep-water rudder which will work well on the large lake. The best part of this model is that it comes ready-to-sail, so I don’t have to mess around with miniature boat parts I’m unfamiliar with. I think that this purchase will be a great hobby to bond over with my son.
